Our Goals
Our goals during the duration of our participation in the project go far beyond merely scoring goals and helping ouor team to win games in the league. Our goals will be to help the children attending BSA become fitter not only to last the 90 minutes of the game, but the rest of their lives away from the football pitch.
Through their participation in sports activities we aim to raise awareness of the importance of Team Work, Respect, Responsibility, Dedication, Loyalty, both on and off the pitch. Their importance in every-day life will be used to help tackle the ever-present problems of alcoholism, drug abuse, crime and, health faced by these children.
Through football coaching we will integrate life-skill training on basic yet crucial issues that will not only help them improve their game, but also their life styles and prospects once they leave the field. From basic health care, cleanliness, sanitation, to HIV / AIDS awareness, social inclusion, gender equality, leadership skills, etc the philosophy of sports will be used as a guiding principle for a healtheir, brighter future.
Here you will also be able to find some of the material I prepared for the project and other literature, guides and practical cases of sporting activities used for development purposes, the promotion of peace and health awareness.
